As with every recipe I come across I have to make it my own. I don’t think I’ve ever followed a recipe’s exact instructions whether I’m baking or cooking. I just get in the kitchen and it’s like an amazing combination of free style dancing and meditation. I’m not focused on anything else but what I’m hand crafting there in the kitchen.
So I have switched over to goats milk after doing much research and trying it out for myself; cow’s milk vs. goat’s milk. I won’t lie, I do like the taste of cow’s milk a little better, but the goat’s milk is indeed healthier and actually makes your baked goods extra fluffy and delicious ;). If you have digestive issues I highly recommend trying it out!
1 cup of all-purpose flour or use your favorite substitute
3/4 cup of goat milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Splash of vanilla extract
Melt the butter in a sauce pan and set aside to cool. Crack and beat the egg in a medium size bowl; add in the vanilla and goat milk and butter when it has cooled. Slowly whisk in the flour, baking powder and salt.
This recipe can be prepared the night before. Let your mix sit on the counter for 5-8 minutes before using.
Have a happy and relaxing weekend!
