Mountain Pose or Tadasana; Yoga

Stand with your feet hip width apart and parallel to each other. Root down through the heels; arms by your sides, palms facing forward. Lengthen your spine by inhaling; tuck the tailbone under slightly to neutralize the pelvis and bring the shoulder blades together in the back. Keep your neck in line with the spine. Keep creating space; you want an open heart, open collar bone; keep growing taller. Inhale and fill your belly with breath; exhale slowly and release all your breath; do this for several breaths.

Mountain pose aligns the spine, opens the chest, and improves posture and focus. Practice this pose daily whenever you need to center throughout your busy day and when you’re feeling stiff and achy.
